This kit utilizes stronger components to create a package that will be less susceptible to clutch failure in your 2005-2007 Cobalt SS/SC and 2004-2007 Ion Redline with the MU3 Transmission.

This kit is capable of up to at least 570 Nm (420 ft lb)

The kit includes:
Heavy-duty clutch
Pressure plate
Throw out bearing (Slave Cylinder)
Pressure Plate mounting bolts

Note: We strongly recomend that you have this installed by a GM dealer so that labor is covered if you should run into any problems while installing it. We will not be able to reinburse any out side labor costs.

Note: this next line is directly out of the GM Service Manual: Important: In order to maintain the proper component balance, contact surface taper, and heat transfer, manual transmission flywheels are NOT to be machined.

  GM Clutch Warranty

All GM clutches and throw out bearings are covered by GM's 12 month parts and labor warranty only when installed by a GM dealership.
Any GM clutch and or throw out bearing/slave cylinder not installed by a GM dealership will not be covered by warranty for parts, defects, labor or loss of use.
